Will’s Book – 400 years of Shakespeare’s First Folio. In a catalogue for the Frankfurt Book Fair in 1622, the first printed edition of Shakespeare’s collected plays was announced, which then appeared in 1623. In cooperation with the Globe Theatre London, the German Literature Archive Marbach is celebrating the 400th anniversary of this ‘First Folio’ with an exhibition, among other things. The focus is on the ‘First Folio’ and its successors. In addition to the ‘First Folio’, the exhibition shows exhibits from the Globe Theatre and the DLA. Audiovisual stations bring the various performance practices to life for visitors. October 12, 2022 to May 21, 2023
